Rogo had his sarcoid surgically removed this morning. It was slowly growing and chances of success are higher when they are small. The vet said he thinks he got all of it. It will be biopsied to ensure it is a sarcoid and to see if the edges of the piece removed are cancer free.

Those are gorgeous photos. My favorites are the black and white shots and the picture of you standing next to him and kind of cradling his face. Rogo is a big, beautiful horse!

Glad the sarcoid removal went well - Dawn had a large and growing one in a location where surgery wasn't possible - over her jugular vein - and we successfully removed it with Xterra several years ago.
Love the pictures! They're all beautiful! I hope all is well with the sarcoid removal. My gelding had one removed many, many years ago and it never came back. I hope you have the same luck.

I had a grey mare (Anglo Trakehner) who also had a sarcoid removed. Something about grey horses. Hope the test results are good...what a beautiful boy!
