It has helped me, with stamina and leg strength, and doing it at night, at home, while doing something else, is about the only time I could work it in.
Rogo was trying hard in your lesson- good boy! Wow about him lengthening his canter! I think that is a very advanced maneuver (since, IMHO, the canter itself is a bit difficult, sometimes very difficult, for most horses). And Rogo did very well on the shoulder-in (which I think also is advanced - my horse can't do it at all, I ask for it and then praise him because he tries to do something, but it isn't a shoulder-in :) ). So, good work by both of you!
(Also, I saw your videos- they are great! Savanah looks like a dream to ride and Doug is a good rider!)Janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00141033474195269489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1528949271317164229.post-85857121923982599882010-11-16T20:38:21.320-08:002010-11-16T20:38:21.320-08:00Pilates and Yoga is great for riding. For cardio, bike riding and just walking with some slight hills does wonders.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1528949271317164229.post-54921524898926187002010-11-16T19:42:14.040-08:002010-11-16T19:42:14.040-08:00I'm in the same boat re exercising. Hating exercise for it's own sake, I'm planning to move my composted manure pile (a years worth) by hand this weekend. :)Valentinohttp://transitiontoharmony.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
